Okay so you can see for the Cylinder 6yd is actually the Radius
(Diamater means from one end of the circle to the other and Radius means half of that)
and 20 yd is the length of it.

Surface Area of Cylinder:
There are 3 parts which make up a Cylinder. 2 circles and a rectangle

Think of the label of a food can to help you visualise this

Area of Circle=\[\pi r^2\]
Area of Circle=\[3.14\times6^{2}\]
Area of Circle=113.04

Remember we need two circle.

Now for the rectangle
Area of rectangle=\[base \times height\]
Area of Rectangle=\[circumference of cirle \times 20\]
Circumference means measurement around the circle
Area of Rectangle=\[2 \pi r \times 20\]
Area of Rectangle=\[2 \times 3.14 \times 6 \times 20\]
Area of Rectangle=753.6

Surface Area of Cylinder= 113.04+113.04+753.6=979.68
