u r of 10th class?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
cbse?
OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):
yes
OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):
are you able to help

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):
@lall are you there
OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):
@inkyvoyd
OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):
i found out the average and the range
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so u have a problem with uncertainty?
OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):
yeah

firstly subtract all the speed with avrage speed and take their modulus( consider their magnitude only)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
eg.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
what is first average?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
332.1 m/s = av. speed
OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):
332.1

OpenStudy (anonymous):
\[v _{av } -v _{1} =\Delta v _{1}\]
OpenStudy (anonymous):
332.1-331.9 =
OpenStudy (anonymous):
0.2 m/s
OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):
what is it??
OpenStudy (anonymous):
actually it is the difference of the speed from average speed....

OpenStudy (anonymous):
now u take the differences in each case and take their average...
OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):
wait which one are we doing
OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):
are we finding the average or uncertainty
OpenStudy (anonymous):
uncertainity
OpenStudy (anonymous):
it is the method to find uncertainity

OpenStudy (anonymous):
topic of 11th class
OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):
so for the first be the difference of the speed from average speed.... is 0.2 right
OpenStudy (anonymous):
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ist one i hav shown so i started from 2.......
OpenStudy (anonymous):
u hav to take modulus in each case i.e. | |
do u know what is modulus?

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):
i don't
OpenStudy (anonymous):
like in the third u got a -ve sign....so modulus is used remove to remove that -ve sign...
OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):
wait are you doing the range or uncertainly
OpenStudy (anonymous):
|-0.4| =0.4 m/s
OpenStudy (anonymous):
uncertainity

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):
what is the formula for finding the uncertainty
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so u get all those values that are the differences from mean that ar 0.2, 0.1, 0.4 , 0.1 , 0.0.....
so take average difference...
OpenStudy (anonymous):
( 0.2+ 0.1+ 0.4 +0.1 + 0.0 ) /5 = 0.8/5
OpenStudy (anonymous):
thus formula for uncertainity is \[v _{av}- \Delta v _{av}\]
OpenStudy (anonymous):
do u got it?

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):
sorry but i don't get that why are you putting 332.1
OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):
i mean in the sheet which you send me thoy
OpenStudy (anonymous):
what is difference b/w the average speed to the observed speed int he first case....
OpenStudy (anonymous):
332.1 is average speed
OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):
yes

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):
range is 0.6
OpenStudy (anonymous):
u dont need range at all to find the uncertainty
OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):
oh ok i am just making sure do i get the correct range
OpenStudy (anonymous):
"the difference b/w the average speed to the observed speed "
do u get this statement?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
tell me?

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):
yes i do
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so then u take average of that all differences....
OpenStudy (anonymous):
that is \[\Delta v _{av}\]
OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):
which i get for the first is 332.1
OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):
the average

average - 331.9
OpenStudy (anonymous):
average -332=
OpenStudy (anonymous):
average - 332.5 =
OpenStudy (anonymous):
average -332 =
OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):
how you get that average
Join the QuestionCove community and study together with friends!

OpenStudy (anonymous):
average- 332.1 =
OpenStudy (anonymous):
these are the differences from the AVERAGE VELOCITY
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so the next AVERAGE of those DIFFERENCES.....
OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):
for finding the average are we adding all the number and divide that by the number of trials
OpenStudy (anonymous):
would give u \[\Delta v _{av}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):
yes for normal average...
OpenStudy (anonymous):
are u not told how to solve this wok sht in school
OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):
i think they do but i forget
OpenStudy (anonymous):
these concepts are of 11th class?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so ar u getting the missing links...

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):
for finding the range are we just doing max-min
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yes of course
OpenStudy (anonymous):
in ur wk sht u just have to give \[\Delta v _{av}\]
OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):
can you plz do we a favour and review it the last time
OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):
i mean the uncertainly

let me solve it on the sheet and i will send the photo...u will be able to see the whole procedure
OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):
oh yeah thnx man
OpenStudy (anonymous):
OpenStudy (anonymous):
i hav taken too many pic as it was not clear
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ar u getting
