jabez177 (jabez177):

Hmm, do you think there should be a question thing when you create an account because there are 11 and 12 year olds on this site when OpenStudy is for 13+...

Nnesha (nnesha):

`OpenStudy is 13+`

jabez177 (jabez177):

Yes but there are 12 and 11 year olds coming and asking 6th grade questions...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But maybe there are 13 year olds in 6th grade, I dunno. But yes, you have a point ^.^

jabez177 (jabez177):

Yes.

Nnesha (nnesha):

yes right don't you think they will again ?

Nnesha (nnesha):

lie*

Nnesha (nnesha):

questions ? like what ?

jabez177 (jabez177):

How about a 5th grader?

jabez177 (jabez177):

It's absolutely outrageous!

Nnesha (nnesha):

there are questions like ` -9 times 18 ` so they are not 13 years old ?

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

yeah nnesha

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

because this is a 3rd grade question which is less than 13+

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well what about when someone wants to make an OS account, theres a question, say math, that is from 9th grade or 10th etc. Then they will have to answer the question. I'm not sure

Nnesha (nnesha):

http://prntscr.com/8oeynz

jabez177 (jabez177):

Not what I meant.... There was this kid I was helping and I Said, "I took these in 6th grade." And that person said, "I'm in 6th grade and 11, can you help me?" What do you say then?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would help, but I feel like if I tell the person something about his age or sorts, I will feel awkward >.<

Nnesha (nnesha):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The might lie, not sure :l

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Or what about a question from college?

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

there is no way to avoid being people <13+ on os. there is NO WAY

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmmn..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I've ran out of ideas ._.

Nnesha (nnesha):

that was my opinion let's see what other people thinkz\o^_^o/

jaynator495 (jaynator495):

You know, technically they can bypass the 13+ law if they make it so if your 13 or under, a parent must fill out their email, and confirm that they are their parent by entering a CC to be preprocessed to confirm its legit, then the site would not be held responsible, as the parent has willingly and knowledgeably let the child on the site.

jabez177 (jabez177):

Ah but some kids are smart, fake ages and etc.

jabez177 (jabez177):

But still there should be a thing like when you set an alarm, but except it'll be the age.

jabez177 (jabez177):

Well I'm gonna give more feedback later, I have a flight to catch...

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

It might seen a bit overboard if you sign up and a prompt asks you for your age...lol. Anyways, not much you can do about it besides report and move on.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Or just leave it . just awnser there quration and move on 😊

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

listen jay, `You know, technically they can bypass the 13+ law if they make it so if your 13 or under, a parent must fill out their email, and confirm that they are their parent by entering a CC to be preprocessed to confirm its legit, then the site would not be held responsible, as the parent has willingly and knowledgeably let the child on the site.` all people will leave os. nobody will want to fill out 3 million forms to ask question or help others. this is idiotic. look: To ask a question i need to fill out a form. to help i need to fill out a form. Maybe you wanna also show your passport with driver licence and school id and make a deposit in 30000 $ and 50 references that you are 13+. huh? everyone will leave os 100%. and nobody will make new accounts on it.

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

@jaynator495

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

and also show a bank account, give an email of your school teacher. and telephone. and address , huh?

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

@ksanka lol

jabez177 (jabez177):

I see your point, @EclipsedStar.

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

no

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

i still disagree. children 12- will just fill out fake forms

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

you still cannot check if it is written by parent.

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

@Preetha what do you think about all this?

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

doubt it will ever happen lol
