Do I take 1.75 * 55 = 96.25 / 70 = 1.375 or 1.38

well you need to know \[S = \frac{D}{T}\] so you need to find the distance between the 2 cities given S = 55 and T = 1.75 can you calculate D
so your calculation looks correct.
