i took samples of bacteria from my school (doorknobs, toilet seats, etc.) i grew them in petri dishes and got 3rd place for my experiment.

I had a real good idea for an experiment involving plants and if they grow quicker in sunlight or artificial light, but it looks like you can't do it :(
