Which of the following would be a reasonable estimate for the height of a skyscraper? 1 × 10^3 feet 1 × 10^-8 feet 1 × 10^8 feet 1 × 10^-3 feet

OpenStudy (tacotime):

Welp it can't be any of the ones to a negative exponent because that would mean the skyscraper is under 1 foot

OpenStudy (phantomcrow):

Well skyscraper are usually very tall and negative exponents on the 10 in scientific notation makes the value less than 1.

OpenStudy (phantomcrow):

10^3 is 1000ft and 10^8 is much higher than our atmosphere even reaches.

OpenStudy (phantomcrow):

So its just a matter of logic now.
