What was the Underground Railroad? Your response needs to include and explain the terms conductor, lines, station, and freight.

The underground railroad was not actually a "railroad" so to speak, like a coal train... It was more a path to freedom that runaway slaves used to escape the south and go north to slave free states or Canada. These routes often had safe houses for slaves to hide in during the day and a guide that would bring them to safety.
