Pre-calculus question

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

is the parent graph like this: \[y = \left| x \right|\]

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

if yes, we can write this: \[f\left( x \right) = \left| x \right|\] and: \[g\left( x \right) = 3\left| x \right| = 3f\left( x \right)\] so at a generic point \(x\) graph of \(g(x)\) is stretched by a factor \(3\) with respect to the graph of \(f(x)\)

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

more precisely, I mean vertically stretched
