what is 20% of 32.59$

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

multiply 32.59*20/100=???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6.518?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@AlexandervonHumboldt2

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

... 6.518 cant be right.. you cant give a tip of 6$ and 518 cents...

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

@freckles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let me be more specific i guess.. 4. The customary tip is 20% of the total bill. In the column labeled Tip, calculate the amount of tip each person should leave. total bill:32.59

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

where is the Colum Tip?

OpenStudy (bossvideogamer21):

its 6.518

OpenStudy (bossvideogamer21):

i looked it up

OpenStudy (anonymous):

boss you havent even been reading any of this have you..

OpenStudy (bossvideogamer21):

i have

OpenStudy (bossvideogamer21):

ok i will look up what the answer is with the 518 cents

OpenStudy (bossvideogamer21):

converted

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the part when i said it cant be 6.518 because you cant pay someone 6 dollars and 518 cents? you read that?

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

round the answer i guess

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok.. hold on. 518 cents can become 5$ and 18 cents. but then when added to the six it makes it 11.18. but that cant be it either because that x 5 is not 32.59

OpenStudy (bossvideogamer21):

oh so the answer is 11 dollars and 18 cents

OpenStudy (anonymous):

boss. so your saying 11 dollars and 18 cents x 5 = 32.59

OpenStudy (bossvideogamer21):

i looked it up on a cents to dollars converter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

boss read what i just said.

OpenStudy (bossvideogamer21):

i entered 518 cents

OpenStudy (bossvideogamer21):

it said 5.18

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im gonna copy and past what i said earlier.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

boss. so your saying 11 dollars and 18 cents x 5 = 32.59?

OpenStudy (bossvideogamer21):

so then i added 6 to 5 to get 11 and 18 cents

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your not reading what im saying.

OpenStudy (bossvideogamer21):

i did

OpenStudy (anonymous):

11 dollars and 18 cents x 5 = 32.59?

OpenStudy (bossvideogamer21):

just give me a minute to reply

OpenStudy (bossvideogamer21):

please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it doesnt matter what the calculator said.. answer this question please. 11 dollars and 18 cents x 5 = 32.59?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes or no.

OpenStudy (bossvideogamer21):

so techically yes and the 6 dollars and 518 cents would work the only difference is the 11 dollars and 18 cents is simplified

OpenStudy (bossvideogamer21):

so yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

YOUR NOT READING WHAT IM SAYING 11 dollars and 18 cents x 5 = 32.59?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes or no

OpenStudy (bossvideogamer21):

i just said yes

OpenStudy (bossvideogamer21):

do u need help with anything else?

OpenStudy (bossvideogamer21):

can u give me a medal?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why would i give you a medal if your wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

11.18 x 5 is not 32.59?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

therefore 11.18 is not the right answer..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6.518 is the answer but then if you simplify that it becomes 11.18 but then when you do 11.18 x 5 its not 32.59.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Bossvideogamer21

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Mahmood786123 what do you think

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ugh this is a really hard one D:

OpenStudy (mahmood786123):

6.51800 U.S. dollars

OpenStudy (mahmood786123):

I just searched the question

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

hehe just like i said

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mahmood thats not possible.. go back and read everything we just did.. its not possible.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6.518 is the answer but then if you simplify that it becomes 11.18 but then when you do 11.18 x 5 its not 32.59.

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

it is a mystery how you get 11.18 from 6.518?

OpenStudy (mahmood786123):

just search this (what is 20% of 32.59$)

OpenStudy (mahmood786123):

\(\color{blue}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @FlamePlaysMC 6.518 is the answer but then if you simplify that it becomes 11.18 but then when you do 11.18 x 5 its not 32.59. \(\color{blue}{\text{End of Quote}}\) so then the answer is 55.9 when you do 11.18 x 5 you get 55.9 therefore your answer would be 55.9

OpenStudy (mahmood786123):

\(\color{blue}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Mahmood786123 6.51800 U.S. dollars \(\color{blue}{\text{End of Quote}}\) I still think this is the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok allow me to explain 20% of 32.59$ is the question. $ = dollars. when u get 6.518 that means 6.518$ but u cant give someone 6 dollars and 518 cents. so change the cents into dollars. 100 cents = 1 dollar. so 518 simplified is 5 dollars and 18 cents. add 5 dollars plus 6 dollars =11. 11 plus the 18 cents. is 11.18. but 11.18 x 5. 5 = 20 % out of 100% doesnt equal 32.59

OpenStudy (mahmood786123):

Ok but why do you think that the answer 32.59 you just did the working yourself so you got your answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-_- i dont think the answer is 32.59.. im saying your answer cant be right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

HOW.

OpenStudy (mahmood786123):

\(\color{blue}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @FlamePlaysMC @Mahmood786123 what do you think \(\color{blue}{\text{End of Quote}}\) You asked me what I thought it was and I told you what I thought it was

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you saying 20 x 5 = 32.59

OpenStudy (mahmood786123):

Look I told you What I thought the answer was because you asked if its wrong Im sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im not mad at you im mad that we cant figure out the answer.

OpenStudy (mahmood786123):

Yeah it is confusing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im just gonna put 6.518 on my test and hope the teacher thinks its right..

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

it is a mystery how you get 11.18 from 6.518?

OpenStudy (mahmood786123):

Hopefully

OpenStudy (kva1992):

its actually 6.52 you have to round it to the nearest cent and once you multiply that by 5 you should get 32.6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kva is right! can u help me with a few more?

OpenStudy (mahmood786123):

Good job kva

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kva can u help me with a few more plz?

OpenStudy (kva1992):
