Find the approximate value of the circumference of a circle with the given radius. Use = 3.14. Round your results to one more decimal than in the given radius. 5.1 cm C = 32.03 cm 32.02 cm 16.02 cm 16.01 cm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The 5.1 is the radius, correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think its 32.03 well i got 32.028 but if its rounded isnt it 32.03?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Circumference = 2πr = 5.1(2) x 3.14 5.1(2) = 10.2 x 3.14 ~ 32.03

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's exactly correct ^-^

You want to round up for numbers that are ≥5, and round down for numbers ≤4
