Best Answer: It led to the church coming back to the Word of God, the dark ages were very dark because ignorance was rampant, it was a very dark time and many souls went to eternal darkness when they died, the word of God was scarce, the Reformation was a beacon of light that shined upon Europe, Heaven brought out the Word of God so that men can come back to him, People were saved and the truth of God set them free. The Reformation was the event that saved Europe, it the dark ages would have continued it would have destroyed Europe.
