What value of x makes the equation true? (–12.3) • (–6.9) • 9.5 = x • 9.5 • (–12.3) x =

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

d

OpenStudy (yoloshroom):

Multiply it all out, and move X to one side. Then find X by itself

OpenStudy (anonymous):

d?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Not sure why you would have to work it out. The answer is right there. Weird how they make you do this crazy method of math, and this is mental math. Simple. Let's look at the left side : (–12.3) • (–6.9) •( 9.5) Now look at the right side : x • (9.5)• (–12.3) Take a good look at the numbers on the left and right side. The left and right side both have 9.5 and -12.3, correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6.9

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Make sure you add the negative. Your answer is -6.9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(-6.9)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-6.9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you guys are right

sammixboo (sammixboo):

See, that was simple :) Way easier than working it out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so -6.9 or (-6.9)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sammixboo

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-6.9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just like that
