Present Perfect Tense. Present perfect tense describes an action that happened at an indefinite time in the past or that began in the past and continues in the present. This tense is formed by using has/have with the past participle of the verb.

Verb tenses are like Past, Present, and Future. "I Went to the store" is Pass tense. "I am going to the store" is present tense. "I will go to the store" is future tense because you're Going to go to the store. :)

Don't forget past-present tense. I have been eating pizza. Also its little known twin future-past-present tense. I will have been eating pizza for x time.
