a car comes to a smooth stop from a speed of 50mph. It travels for a distance of 60 meters while doing so. Which equation would you use to calculate the acceleration?

OpenStudy (zephyr141):

i would use this one\[v^2=v_0^2+2ad\]you have final and initial velocity and the distance. now solve for acceleration. also write down the kinematic equations. you'll need it for the class you're in.

OpenStudy (zephyr141):

also you'll need to do some conversion because you have speed in miles per hour and you have a distance of meters. so convert one of the two to either SI or Imperial units.
