OpenStudy (tacotime):

UNIX: Lets say your home directory contains the two directories A and B. B contains a file called HW3. If you are in the home directory how do you display the contents of HW3 (without changing directories)?

OpenStudy (mathmate):

Use the cat command to print the content of a (text) file. To access files below the current directory, precede the file name with then name of the directory. So cat my_folder/readme will display the contents of file "readme" in the directory "my_folder" which is immediately below the current directory.
