Nnesha (nnesha):

y=mx+b slope intercept form where m is slope and b is y-intercept if line increasing then slope would be `positive ` if line is decreasing then slope would be `negative` slope = rise over run (count how many units its going up from the y-intercept and then how many units to the right ) b(y-intercept) is a point where line intersect at `y-axis`

OpenStudy (taylor0402):

so its a positive number right...this is just really confusing for me

Nnesha (nnesha):

right slope would be positive bec line is increasing

OpenStudy (taylor0402):

i just cant tell if the line is increasing or decreasing

Nnesha (nnesha):

heck your options are sure they are correct ?

Nnesha (nnesha):

check ** sorry not that word

OpenStudy (taylor0402):

yes that is what they gave me

Nnesha (nnesha):

then graph doesn't go with that options

OpenStudy (taylor0402):

i just can never tell hat way the slope is going how do i know it is going up or down...and after i figure that out i newere know which answer it is

OpenStudy (taylor0402):

if you had to pick the best answer what would it be

Nnesha (nnesha):

alright |dw:1444308980484:dw| if the line coming from 2nd quadrant to 4th then the line is decreasing
