wow umm..

OpenStudy (adovbush):

A is not my guess, I accidentally pressed the answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes A is the right answer but the tick marks show 2 in between each number so there are 3 parts of it so there is 1/3 for each tick mark

OpenStudy (adovbush):

are you sure?

OpenStudy (kweenlexis):

The answer i choose would be B. because 3 × 4 + 2 3 = 14 3

OpenStudy (adovbush):

uh, now who should i pick? lol

OpenStudy (adovbush):

so whats the correct answer?

OpenStudy (kweenlexis):

you have to Multiply the denominator by the whole number 3 × 4 = 12 Step 2 Add the answer from Step 1 to the numerator 12 + 2 = 14 Step 3 Write answer from Step 2 over the denominator 14/3

OpenStudy (adovbush):

B?

OpenStudy (kweenlexis):

yes

OpenStudy (adovbush):

thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it says mixed number and the point is between 5 and 5 so it has to be a mixed number where the base is 4. then it is 2/3 of the way across the line from 4 to 5 so it is 4 2/3

OpenStudy (kweenlexis):

your welcome @adovbush

OpenStudy (adovbush):

ok ok, thanks, still won't remember it all :) lol

OpenStudy (kweenlexis):

@suppa_lova answer choice A is stating that 4 2/3 turne into a improper fration would be 8/3 and that is incorrect because when you turn 4 2/3 into a improper fraction you will get 14/3 :)

OpenStudy (kweenlexis):
