parallel lines have the same slope. for perpendicular lines the product of the slopes is -1; the slopes are negative reciprocals

the perimeter is the sum of the lengths all around the figure. for a parallelogram opposite sides are the same length. you can use the distance formula to find the lengths then add them up I would suggest plotting the points, the vertices of the parallelogram it would be easier to see.
