I believe that the "incorrect" the question refers to is the incorrectness of the students hypothesis.

Heat does not travel via convection in space, space is a vacuum.

It's okay, I've misread many a problem as well haha.

I think the answer is C: Earth can only receive heat in the form of radiation

Tempted to say A, but there isn't /zero/ matter in space so I don't think that's right.
