OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

Determine the degree and leading coefficient of each polynomial. 6a^4+a^3-2a Please just explain how to do this :) Once I get started, I should be able to figure it out :)

Nnesha (nnesha):

coefficient of highest degree variable is leading coefficient

Nnesha (nnesha):

\[\huge\rm \color{ReD}{10}x^\color{blue}{5}+45x^3 + 4x^2+6x+65\] in this example highest degree is 5 so leading coefficient is 10

Nnesha (nnesha):

random example.

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

Okay! That's what I thought haha, thank you :)

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

So the degree is 4....leading coefficient is 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

Thanks!

Nnesha (nnesha):
