medal !!!!!!!!! plz explain what medals do
give you owlcents
Medals impact on the Smart Score of an OS member. You have a SS of 30. That comes from the posts you make, the questions you ask, and the medals (Best Response) clicks that you receive for your help. If someone helps you and you are satisfied with the quality of the help, then it is considered polite to express your thanks by awarding a medal (Best Response) click next to the name of the person who helped you in the thread. You are under no obligation to award medals. And, if you give one to somebody, you can take it back if the person's work does not later turn out to be what you need. As for the computation of the Smart Score, medals play a part as do other factors. But, nobody knows exactly how Smart Scores are determined. Hint: While you don't have to award medals for help, generally you will attract more helpers if you do. I consider to be akin to game tokens. They have no monetary value but are an incentive for helpers. A helper can award a medal to someone who asks a question, too. So, there is a reciprocity element to the medals.
