Help: Write at least 3 different expressions that mean "slope".

OpenStudy (happy_to_help):

\[m=\frac{ rise }{ run}\]

OpenStudy (happy_to_help):

\[m=\frac{ \Delta y }{ \Delta x}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@happy_to_help for the second one you commented..would i just out m=y/x?

OpenStudy (happy_to_help):

Slope = (Change in y)/(Change in x) This is what it means Example:For the first ski slope example, the skier travels four units vertically and ten units horizontally. So, the first slope is m = 4/10.

@happy_to_help oh okay. so I need one more example.. would y1-y2/x1-x2 work??

OpenStudy (happy_to_help):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

should i put m= in front of it?
