OpenStudy (raquelkelli01):

Order the lengths of the sides of Triangle ABC from greatest to least. _>_>_

OpenStudy (raquelkelli01):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the side opposite the largest angle is the largest side and so on

OpenStudy (compassionate):

In other words, SOHCAHTOA

OpenStudy (anonymous):

????

OpenStudy (raquelkelli01):

So the greatest side would be BC?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

largest side is BC since it is opposite the largest angle

OpenStudy (compassionate):

The largest side will always be your hypotenuse, and your shortest will always be an adjacent angle.

OpenStudy (raquelkelli01):

Ah, that makes so much more sense. Thank you!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yw

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Compassionate this is not trig, there is no right angle here

OpenStudy (compassionate):

In basic theory, that's how I understand it. Hyp is the largest, opposite from that is the second, and your last is your adjacent. Triangles always take this format except in special cases.
