*i will metal* A scientist finds a fossil that contains a long beak. He can assume which of the following things The animal most likely was an extremely fast runner The animal most likely could fly The animal most likely ate worms that lived under ground The animal traveled in giant herds
well just go with what we know. does a beak generally mean it's a fast runner? no we would look at the structure of the legs to see about that. does a beak mean it most likely could fly? maybe, i mean birds have beaks right? but that's too broad to attribute flight to the animal since some species of fish have beak-like mouths. does it mean it travels in herds? that's also too broad to arrive at the the animal being a herd animal. so lets look at the uses of a beak. what can a beak be used for? in today's animal kingdom beaked animals usually need to use that hard tool to dig into the ground, roots, and trees to find food. so the answer would be 3 in my opinion.
