1. D. - I believe the way it is explaining it is imagery. 2. A. - Since they are referencing that everyone else was 'hoarse' they are probably talking metaphorically. 3. C. - I think it's an idiom. Overall these are my answers, which I'm pretty sure are incorrect. Which answers did you pick? I'm not the best with language to be honest, so... I'm probably wrong with my answers.
