In 2005, the 2004 populations and projected population rates were released for Nigeria. In 2004 the population of Nigeria was 129 million. The population of Nigeria is growing at a rate of 2.4%. How long will it take for the population of Nigeria to double at this rate? (It is probably easier to do this problem using Excel. Drag your formula down until you see about 258 and then look to the left to see what year this happens. It won't be exact so give the two years it falls between.)
