A segment has endpoints M (5, -2) and N (-1, -2) . After a dilation with center (0,0) , M' (10, -4) and N' (-2, -4) . If the scale factor is 3x+2, then which of the following is the value of x? A) 0 B) 1 C) 2 D) 3 Will medal and fan the best correct answer!

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

comparing the point \(M\) with \(M'\) we get as scale factor the subsequent value: \(s=2\) so we have to solve this equation: \(3x+2=2\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So 3x+2=2 becomes 3x=0 which becomes x=0?

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

correct!
