What is the antecedent of the pronoun underlined in this sentence? The dog dug a bone out of the ground near the flowerbed and now is chewing it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do any of you think that you can help me with that too?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Antecedents are nouns that are either replaced or referred to by a pronoun. For example: "Kendra went to go get a car because she didn't have one." 'Kendra' is the antecedent, and 'she' is the personal pronoun that refers to 'Kendra.' =-=-=-= Therefore, in this sentence, "Bob" is the antecedent of the sentence.
