Combine the like terms to simplify the expression:
9 + 3 + 17xy^2 + 8y^3 + 10x –13xy^2 – 9x – 6y^3

^ = means its an exponent
Please Help ASAP!! I have no idea how to do this

Do you know what "like terms" means?

10x and -9x are like terms because they have variable and power (the x to the first power in this case.

Simply combine them together (10x-9x) to get 1x

the numbers in front of the variables do not matter.

7x and 4x are like terms

7xy and 7y are not like terms

The variable AND power have to be the same to be like terms
