Assuming "log" is the base 10 logarithm, then you have the equation: \[\frac{ \log(x) }{ \log(10) }=3\] Now you multiply both sides with log(10): \[\log(x)=3*\log(10)\]You can rewrite this to: (by using logarithmic terms) \[\log(x)=\log(10^3)=\log(1000)\] Now you eliminate log, and get: \[x=1000\]
