Carbohydrates and fats both (2 points) A. can be used as an energy source by organisms B. can be bonded together to construct DNA molecules C. are made up of the glucose monomer D. are monomers that can be made into large polymer chains
Your answer is A.
Thanks
Carbs and lipids are both broken down by the body to produce energy, but whereas carbs can come in large polymer chains lipids can't. Glucose is strictly a carb And DNA is made from a phosphate group a sugar group (that's your carb right there) and a nitrogenous base, so there's no lipid in there anywhere Also carbs are broken down more easily than lipids, even though when lipids are broken down they give out almost double the energy given off by a carb. That's why we tend to store the lipids more and use the carbs instead, and hence the reason why we get fat
