Well, glucose is created during photosynthesis...but not all organisms carry out photosynthesis. It is required by organisms to respire...and we know that all organisms have to respire to survive. During the respiration process the glucose molecule is broken down and this energy is stored in ATP molecules. Energy in the form of ATP is then readily available to the cells.
