Please, can someone show me how to do this problem?

1 AU is the distance from the center of the earth to the center of the sun 1AU = 1.496 * 10^11 meters 1 Parsec = 1 pc = 3.086 * 10^16 meters and 1 light year is = to 9.46 x 10^15 meters

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So 1 AU is = to 4.84814 * 10^-6 Parsecs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What equations do I make to get those answers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't quite understand...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To convert parsecs to light years its ly = pc * 3.2616 to convert ly to parsec it's gonna be \[\frac{ ly }{ 3.2616 } = parsec\] and Au to ly its 63239.7263 * ly = au so for example if you have 147 light years and want it in AU it would be 147* 63239.7239 = 9 296 239.7661 AU and you can convert it to sig figs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, where do you get the 3.2616 and the 63239.7 from the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 light year over 3.2616 you'll get 0.307 (rounded) which is in your table "for one light year equals"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohh, ok thank you!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you understand? I'm not sure if I explained it clearly or not hehe.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This one was hard lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think I made it harder than it should have been...

OpenStudy (triciaal):

other approach using what is given
