Why do you think a significant number of Americans, known as the Antifederalists, opposed the Federal Constitution but in the end were unable to prevent its ratification?

They probably had issues with it because of the whole "we just fought a tyrannical government, we don't want another tyrannical government" concept that it could have presented if the whole Constitution thing went sideways.
