OpenStudy (anonymous):

do the sugars in apple juice need to be broken down by your digestive system?

OpenStudy (happy_to_help):

The sugars in apple juice are mainly sucrose, fructose, and glucose. Only the sucrose needs to be digested into its constituents glucose and fructose.

OpenStudy (jebonna):

The only thing that needs to be digested is sucrose, as sucrase (the enzyme that breaks down the bond between glucose, fructose and sucrose) breaks the bond between the three sugars (which is basically sucrose) and allows glucose and fructose to go into the blood stream.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah, because your body needs to break it to get energy anyway
