How do you find the phase shift of this graph?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (amistre64):

depends on what the parent function is spose to be .... after all, cos and sin are just phased from each other by pi/2

OpenStudy (amistre64):

do we represent the function as a sin or cos ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sin

OpenStudy (hwyl):

THIS IS A HELPFUL LINK https://www.mathsisfun.com/algebra/amplitude-period-frequency-phase-shift.html

OpenStudy (hwyl):

SO YOU HAVE BOTH VERTICAL AND PHASE SHIFTS

OpenStudy (amistre64):

notifs are not popping up as the should :/
