The domain of the following relation R {(6, −2), (1, 2), (−3, −4), (−3, 2)} is {−3, −3, 1, 6} {−4, −2, 2, 2} {−4, −2, 2} {−3, 1, 6}

OpenStudy (freckles):

the domain is the collection of your 1st numbers from every pair

OpenStudy (freckles):

Example: The domain of {(5,3),(7,9),(5,-3)} is {5,7}.

OpenStudy (celinegirl):

@freckles that makes total since. Thank you for that. I'm not sure if im right.. but it would be the last one right?

OpenStudy (freckles):

you are absolutely correct

OpenStudy (freckles):

no there is no difference in {-3,-3,1,6} but normally teachers try to emphasis don't be repetitive when it comes to writing sets so {-3,1,6} is more appropriate

OpenStudy (celinegirl):

@freckles ok! thank you so much!

OpenStudy (freckles):
