OpenStudy (umulas):

(4x^2 -33x + 8 16x^2 - 1 ---------------- divided by ------------- x^2 - 10x + 16 x^2 - 4x + 4 Any idea how to factor it? Here's what I got: -1(4x-1)(x-8) (x-2)(x-2) ---------- * ----------- (x-8)(x-2) (4x+1)(4x-1) = -1(x-2)/4x+1 Can anyone check if what I did was right? Thanks.

OpenStudy (welshfella):

the first numerator does 'nt look right but the rest is ok

OpenStudy (welshfella):

4x^2 - 33x + 8 = (4x - 1)(x - 8)

OpenStudy (welshfella):

if you remove the negative at the beginning you will be right

OpenStudy (welshfella):

(x - 2) / (4x + 1)
