i can give you example not gonna help to do the quiz :=))sounds good ?
yes
alright how to find inverse : let's say we have equation: \[\rm f(x)=9x+1\] f(x) is same as y so i can replace f(x) with y \[\rm \color{ReD}{y}=9\color{blue}{x}+1\] to find inverse `switch x and y` \[\rm \color{blue }{x}=9\color{red}{y}+1\] and then solve the equation for y x-1 =9y divide by 9 (x-1)/9 =y inverse `slope` \[\huge\rm y=mx+b\] slope intercept form where m is slope and b is y-intercept \[\rm 3x+2y=5\] this is the standard form of linear equation to write in slope intercept form i should solve for y first i'll move x term to the left right by subtracting 3x both sides \[\rm 2y=-3x+5\] and then divide by to cancel out the 2 from left side \[y=\frac{-3}{2}x+\frac{5}{2}\] slope intercept as mentioned m represent slope so in this equation -3/2 would be the slope
when f(number) means x = that given number let say we have to find f(5) and function is f(x)=9x+1 so i have to replace x with 5 \[\rm f(\color{reD}{x})=9\color{ReD}{x}+1\] \[\rm f(\color{reD}{x})=9\color{ReD}{(5)}+1\] 9 times 5 =45 and then add 1 \[\rm f(\color{reD}{x})=45+1=46\] so f(5) = 46
x=domain y= range to find rage i'll sub x value into the equation :=)
\[\huge\rm \frac{ y_2 -y_1 }{ x_2 -x_1}\] formula to find slope where u can sub x and y for given order pair \[\rm (x_1,y_1)(x_2,y_2)\]
