FAN & MEDAL, CHECK MY ANSWER: There is water inside a sealed jar. We cannot see inside the jar. There is a thermometer reading the temperature of the water. The jar is placed over a flame to heat the water. A student observes that the temperature of the water remains the same for 12 minutes, and then the temperature begins to increase. Without looking inside the jar, how does the student know what is happening in the jar?
