A cyclist rides her bike at a speed of 12 meters per second. What is this speed in kilometers per hour? How many kilometers will the cyclist travel in 2 hours? Do not round your answers.

There are 1000m in 1km. So if the cyclist is going 12m a second, they're going 720m a minute, and 43200m an hour. To convert this to km all you have to do is divide 43200 by 1000. The cyclist is going 43.2km an hour. Multiply this by 2, and you'll get how far they've gone in 2 hours. (86.4km in 2 hours)
