I would imagine something like the "CD" has potential gravitational energy because it is up there higher and that the orange being thrown transfers some of its kinetic energy to the CD's. The CD's had potential energy which got converted into kinetic energy as they rolled down the wood. Then the CD's hit the spoon transferring some of the kinetic energy to the spoon causing it to close the electrical circuit lighting the lamp? It is a bit vague. Something along these lines.
