All you have to do in this equation is divide all of the actual numbers by 12 So 48/12 and -72/12 Then you subtract the variables So the x-x is 0 so the x variable is canceled out Then y4-y2 is y2 And y2-y2 is 0 Then you just put the equation together and get 4y^2-6
