hello :)

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

scientific notation :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hi :)

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

so do you know what 10 squared is?

OpenStudy (carlyleukhardt):

D

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

psst, 10 x 10 = 10^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok :)

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

she is right ^.^

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

but did you get why?

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

10^2= 100

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no I have no idea

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

-2 = -100

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

10^-2*

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

since it is negative you are going to move the decimal twice to the left

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

note for the future, when you multiply by ten just add a zero to whatever it is your multiplying

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

for example 5 x 10 = 50

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

but when you multiply by negative 10 you subtrct a zero in other words just move the decimal over

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

not just 10 this works for 100, 10000000, 1000000000000000 so on so forth just add zeros :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

At first I thought it was C and I got it doing calculator xd

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

xD

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

calculator makes it work as well :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah xD

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):
