who can help me with some math questions really quick? :)
Give an example of a compund event.
@TinyLittleHelper @Study_man @jagr2713 @09chunga @Mehek14
umm im not sure but is this one? What is the probability of rolling either a two or a four using one 10-sided die?
Bad news: I have no idea what a compound event is. Good news: I did research! Hotmath says: "In probability, while a simple event consists of exactly one outcome, a compound event is a combination of two or more simple events. For example, tossing a coin is a simple event, but rolling a die and tossing a coin is a combination of 2 simple events and therefore a compound event."
how do you solve compund events? :)
how do you use a tree diagram to find the probability of an event?
to solve compound events, you have to find out whether they are independent or not, i think...
ok and how do you use a tree diagram to find the probability of an event?
umm.. on the first part of the tree is one event which you write the prob of one outcome happening and on the other branch you write the prob of the outcome not happening. then you branch it out on both lines for the second event
if that makes sense??
Lets say you have a spinner and it has 7 different colors, what is the probability of landing on green?
