OpenStudy (cuanchi):

did you try the online balance equations? http://www.webqc.org/balance.php

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes but i didnt understand it so plz help

OpenStudy (cuanchi):

you have to have the same number of atoms in the left of the arrow than in the right of the arrow of the equation. The left of the arrow is called the REACTANTS and the right side of the reaction is called the PRODUCTS

OpenStudy (cuanchi):

look at the first reaction ZnS + O2 -> ZnO + SO2 How many Zn atoms do you have in the reactants and how many in the products?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1

OpenStudy (cuanchi):

so you dont have to do anything for that, What about the other elements S, O ? are the same number of atoms of S in the reactants than in the products? are the same number of atoms of O in the reactants than in the products?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

huh i dont speek nerd

@jabez177

OpenStudy (cuanchi):

sorry, I am not familiar with your knowledge about chemistry can you tell me something about this, so I can stat building from what do you know? do you know what an atom is? do you know what an element is? do you know what a compound is? do you know what a chemical formula is? do you know what a chemical reaction is?
