Part A: Solve −np − 70 < 40 for n. Show your work. Part B: Solve 4w − 7k = 28 for k. Show your work.

OpenStudy (kitkat1):

Please help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for part a, are you allowed to keep the p? +70 to both sides --> -np<40+70 then divide p on both sides --> -n< 40+70 ------ p then multiply both sides by -1 --> n>-40-70 -------- p notice that by multiplying by a minus number flips the inequality sign

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for part b, do the same, move the 7k to the right so that it is positive, and move the 28 to the left so 7k is on its own. Then divide the left side all by 7 to get k on its own

OpenStudy (kitkat1):

Part B would be 110?

OpenStudy (kitkat1):

I mean part A is 110 right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whats p?

OpenStudy (kitkat1):

I have no idea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-110<np is the answer

OpenStudy (kitkat1):

What about the part B?
