C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (jaden20):

ok whats the problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[volume=x^3=0.125=\left( 0.5 \right)^3,x=?\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

uhh.

OpenStudy (mrnood):

@arifL the answe rto the first is NOT C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[729=9^3\]

OpenStudy (mrnood):

the shape is a cube the volume is .125 cm^3 the volume = l^3 so l = cuberoot (vol) = cuberoot(0.125)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so confuzzled right now .-.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\left( 0.5 \right)^3=\left( \frac{ 5 }{ 10 } \right)^3=\frac{ 125 }{ 1000 }=0.125\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Does anybody know the second one?

OpenStudy (ghostgate):

The first one is A. 5 due to how 0.5^3 = 0.125: 0.5 x 0.5 = 0.25 0.25 x 0.5 = 0.125. Alternatively you can go with @surjithayer option which is probably easier. The second one is B. 9 due to how 9^3 = 729: 9 x 9 = 81 81 x 9 = 729 I hope that helps someway, do you understand how the process works? For instance, an exponent is simply the amount of 'x' which is multiplied against itself, so 9^3 = 9 x 9 x 9, calculators are very helpful in find square roots, cube roots, or any kind of root, however it is possible to figure it out yourself if you either memorize or go through trial and error trying to find it. Have a great day! ;) {---Ghostgate---}

Thank you!!

You're welcome! ;)
