4x^3(6x^2 - 1) 24x5 - 1 24x5 - 4x3 24x6 - 1 24x6 - 4x3

Simplify this expression.

OpenStudy (ghostgate):

Out of the options, the answer is B. 24x^5 - 4x^3, why? Because 4x^3 multiplies against everything in parenthesis, this instantly cancels out options A and C because 1 would no longer be there. Now as for the final two, with the only differences being '^5' and '^6', we know it's '^5' because when multiplying exponents together it becomes addition and when dividing exponents it becomes subtraction, so... 3 + 2 = 5, therefore giving you 24x^5 - 4x^3. I hope that helps in someway! Have a great day! ;) {---Ghostgate---}
