Robber barons are people that had wide control over a specific part of industry, like John Rockefeller or Andrew Carnegie. They took control over industry by creating monopolies, and by controlling the resources available to them even if it when agaisnt law.

It's talking about the Spanish American war of 1898 and Theodore Roosevelts tenure in office. Imperialism is having direct influence of a nation even though you don't control that nation. We did that with Panama when we built the Panama Canal. I'm not sure about the other stuff.
